Changes to my study programme

 Hello! In this blog I want to tell you about the career I study and my experience at the university. 

 

The career consists of 10 semesters and each one has a variable load of subjects, but generally vary between 7 or 8 subjects. Personally I think it is a big load, considering the time outside the university that must be dedicated to each subject in addition to the time spent at the university itself. Within this number of courses are considered the electives. In this regard, I think that the number of electives should be reduced, because the other subjects already include many hours of academic performance inside and outside the university. 

 

The infrastructure of the university is also something that I think should be improved. We occupy a small building that has flooding problems that need to be repaired because it can cause damage to the technological resources we have or accidents. In addition, the space is small for the number of students and subjects taught and there are few study rooms, I think it is necessary to enable other spaces for this purpose. 

This is my fourth year in forestry engineering and at the University of Chile, I also had my first two years online because of the pandemic, so I will probably not see these changes during the time I have left at the university, but I think they are necessary changes for the integral formation of the following generations.
